Takafumi Oiwa

Drawing from over 26 years of master level hair care experience, owner Takafumi Oiwa takes great pride in providing superior services in a stylish, relaxing environment. As owner of one of the first Aveda Concept Salon in Orange County, Takafumi also has a long experience with Aveda products and techniques.

Talented both artistically and technically, Takafumi combines both color mastery and progressive hair design to create winning looks for his clients. Takafumi’s extensive ongoing training includes regular seminars with: Vidal Sassoon Academy, Aveda Institute, Aveda Cut and Color Collection,  Keratin Hair Smoothing.

Takafumi credits his success today to stringent training while working directly for Michi Kaji, a well-known stylist in Beverly Hills, and Joe Huffstickler, an incredible colorist in Washington D.C. Takafumi is often the first to offer cutting edge treatments and techniques in Orange County including Japanese Hair Straightening, Keratin Complex Hair Smoothing Treatment, and Color Base Shifting.

Takafumi is well regarded as a colorist, working to correct client hair color issues as well as create new looks. Takafumi is well known for his unique knack for creating extremely natural looking blond hair through an advanced combination of coloring techniques in a way that emulates the sun’s effect on hair. Comfortable with both long hair and short styles, Takafumi is skilled in creating styles that both flatter and enhance a client’s natural features.
